Savannah National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center

Virtual Grounds collaborated with the leadership of the Savannah NWR Visitor Center to offer museum services that encompassed concept and development of new digital experiences along with handling fabrication and maintenance of existing exhibit displays. VGI also designed and installed a physical barrier for the main exhibit's Diorama.

Additionally, VGI created and installed two new digital interactives: a fun touchscreen game challenging players' knowledge of the natural inhabitants of the refuges, and a series of videos showcasing the seven Coastal refuges affiliated with the SNWR complex. The new experiences feature bilingual content and are presented on 27-inch Full HD touchscreen displays.

A Riverside Chorus

The leadership at SNWR expressed the desire to modernize the digital game "A Riverside Chorus," delving into the soundscape of the refuges' fauna. Virtual Grounds worked closely with SNWR to reimagine the interactive multiple-choice game, in a revitalized edition with cutting-edge game logic and a polished interface design.

A multimedia interface engages visitors by presenting a set of animal sounds and prompting the selection of the corresponding species. Elevating the visual experience, the illustrations of the animals and interface backdrop were meticulously crafted with the aid of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

The experience offers bilingual user interface in English and Spanish, designed to meet ADA compliance standards while providing essential support for non-English speakers and ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all.
